Horsemanship Lessons
Our Approach
At Fitzwater Hilltop Farms, we are driven to providing a educational approach to everything we do on the farm. This is especially noted through our horsemanship. We believe there is much more to horses than just riding. Our goal is to provide a safe place for students to learn how to properly care for, maintain, and bond with either our or their, four legged furry friends.
Through our horsemanship courses you will learn and obtain confidence in:
How to properly groom a horse
How to effectively catch a horse in the pasture
How to read a horse's body language to ensure safety and understanding
How to tack a horse properly- while gaining an understanding of different equipment
How to safely walk, trot, and canter with control and poise.

What makes our approach different, is our verbiage and application. We apply everything we learn to real present day life through Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)

Why We Choose E.A.L.
For over 20 years, horses have been speaking to Angel in ways that have taught her so much about not only herself, but life as well. She has applied this understanding to provide a platform that furthers personal development. While all lessons have this incorporated organically, Angel offers sessions specifically tailored to EAL self development.
